Who we are

BRINLOW LIMITED is the controller for business enquiries and correspondence described in this notice. Company number: 17557404. Registered address: Dept 7173, 196 High Road, Wood Green, London, United Kingdom, N22 8HH.

Contact: [email protected] · +44 7700 900682. Website: brinlow.uk. This notice concerns our product website and business communications under the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018.

Information and website checkout

The checkout asks for your name, email, phone number, organisation, selected licences, quantities, payment-method preference and optional comment. It does not request card numbers, security codes or bank credentials.

On this static website, checkout entries and basket contents exist only in the memory of the open page. They are not transmitted to us, a payment provider or a form service, and are not saved by the site. Reloading or closing the page clears them. The on-page order reference and confirmation do not themselves send an email or activate a licence.

If you contact us separately by email or phone, we receive the details you share, including business contact information, organisation, licence interests and correspondence. Please do not send unnecessary personal or sensitive information.

Purposes and lawful bases

We use correspondence to respond to enquiries and take steps at your request before a contract, and to administer an agreed licence (contract). Our legitimate interests include handling business enquiries, maintaining relevant correspondence and protecting our business; we consider the impact on your rights. Where applicable, legal obligation covers records required by law.

Where we ask for consent for a specific optional use, you may refuse or withdraw it. We do not treat a website visit or checkout entry as consent to marketing. No automated decision with legal or similarly significant effects is made through this website.

Separate platform and participant information

This website does not run multiplayer sessions or collect participant answers. Processing within a separately operated quiz platform must be explained in its own notice and contractual documentation, based on the features actually provided.

Where implemented, participant data may include aliases, teams, submitted answers, scores and technical logs. If we process participant information on an organiser’s instructions, an Article 28 UK GDPR processing agreement is required. The organiser remains responsible for its lawful basis and participant notices. No additional platform collection is implied by this website notice.

Sharing and international transfers

Website checkout entries are not shared. For correspondence actually received, access is limited to people who need it to handle the enquiry or licence. Email or communications service providers may process messages as necessary to deliver them. Professional advisers or public authorities may receive information where necessary for advice, legal claims or a legal obligation. We do not sell personal data.

No specific provider or overseas transfer arrangement is asserted here. If a restricted international transfer is needed for information we hold, we must establish a lawful transfer mechanism, such as applicable adequacy regulations or appropriate UK safeguards, and provide relevant details on request.

How long information is kept

The website does not persist checkout data. Correspondence and records received separately are kept only for as long as needed for the enquiry or contract and any applicable legal, accounting or dispute requirements. Retention is assessed by purpose and legal need; this notice does not assign an unverified fixed period. Contact us to ask about records relating to you.

Security

We take proportionate organisational and technical steps to restrict access to information we receive and protect it against unauthorised use, loss or disclosure. No method of communication is completely secure. Do not include payment credentials in an email or website comment. On a shared device, close the page when you have finished.

Cookies and device storage

This website does not set cookies, use analytics or advertising trackers, or use localStorage or sessionStorage. Its basket runs in page memory. Contact links open your own email or phone application, whose handling of information is separate from this website.

Your rights and withdrawing consent

Subject to the conditions and exemptions in UK data protection law, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction or portability of your information. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests and to direct marketing. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing.

Email [email protected] to exercise a right. We may need proportionate information to confirm your identity. You can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO). See the ICO guide to individual rights for more detail.

Age restriction

Our website licences are offered to adult business customers aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly solicit children’s personal information through the website. Contact us if you believe such information has been sent to us. Any participant age requirements for a separate platform must be addressed in its own terms and notices.

Changes to this notice

We will update this notice when the website or our relevant processing changes. The date below identifies this version. Material changes will be communicated where appropriate.
